Beemsterboer signed a multi-year lease with RIDC for space at Keystone Commons, the former Westinghouse complex in East Pittsburgh and Turtle Creek. The company is investing $5 million to convert an old employee parking lot onsite into a slag recycling operation.
“Beemsterboer will take slag used in the blast furnaces at the Edgar Thomson plant and crush and recycle it for use in road construction, parking lots and other applications.”
