Construction in Duquesne continues to progress!
Some of you may have seen construction of a new building while riding the Great Allegheny Passage through Duquesne. Construction of the new 30,000-square-foot Millwrights Building is moving along and will be done at the end of the year. The project began in early summer and has continued to progress.
(In our April post, the building was a giant hole.)
The building will be a flex office and warehouse space for 3 to 5 tenants. The RIDC industrial park in Duquesne is an ideal industrial location, located off of Route 837 and close to regional transportation lines. The building will have 24 foot-clear ceilings in the warehouse, dock doors, and ample parking.
James Construction, a women-owned business out of Carnegie, is the general contractor for the project, with Desmone Architects, based in Lawrenceville, as the architect. The project received funding support from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Duquesne, Duquesne School District, Allegheny County, and the City of Duquesne.
RIDC is currently working to lease the building. Negotiations are progressing with one potential tenant. Look for the building to be completed at the end of the year!
