TURTLE CREEK, PA – September 26, 2024 – Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern Pennsylvania (RIDC) announced that Holtec International has signed a five-year lease extension for its space at RIDC Keystone Commons. The company occupies approximately 316,000 square feet in the South Shop building and 106,000 square feet in the West Shop building. Holtec has occupied the space since 1999 and now employs about 285 people at this location.

The lease extension begins January 1, 2025. Holtec International is a global turnkey supplier of equipment and services for the Nuclear, Solar, Geothermal, and Fossil Power Generation sectors of the energy and petrochemical industry.

“Our (Holtec) facility at Turtle Creek is perfectly located to provide our manufacturing facility with the skilled labor required to produce state of the art spent fuel storage and transportation systems for our clients,” said Patrick O’Brien, Holtec International Director of Government Affairs and Communications.

“Holtec’s presence at this site is a meaningful symbolic link to the location’s history,” said Timothy White, RIDC Senior Vice President. “George Westinghouse and Westinghouse Electric, which originally built and occupied what is now Keystone Commons, were pioneers in electrical generation. Holtec is continuing that legacy of innovation today in the energy sector, bringing and keeping jobs in the Mon Valley.”

RIDC Keystone Commons now includes over 40 companies and employs 1,100+ people.
