Pittsburgh, PA – October 15, 2024 – Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern Pennsylvania (RIDC) announced that Advanced Respiratory Technologies, a new tenant, has signed a five-year lease for approximately 9,351 square feet in the Allegheny Manor II building located at 242 Alpha Drive in RIDC O’Hara Industrial Park.
The lease commenced October 1, 2024.
Advanced Respiratory Technologies is a medical device company developing the next generation of artificial lungs for long term use (www.artificial-lung.com).
“The life science sector is a driving economic force in the Pittsburgh region, and Advanced Respiratory Technologies is joining a thriving roster of companies clustered in RIDC O’Hara,” said Timothy White, RIDC Senior Vice President. “We understand their unique needs and are pleased that they found RIDC O’Hara a good choice for their business.”
“We at Advanced Respiratory Technologies are enthusiastic about our relocation to 242 Alpha Drive in the RIDC O’Hara business park,” said David J. Skoog, PhD, Chief Scientific Officer at Advanced Respiratory Technologies. “With its balance of office and light manufacturing, this new space will provide the ideal framework to support ART’s ongoing increase in team size and will enable us to expand our operational capabilities in producing the next generation of artificial lungs. We look forward to continuing to work with the RIDC as our company grows.”
RIDC O’Hara was one of the first planned industrial parks in the country. The site continues to be an excellent location, in close proximity to downtown Pittsburgh, the universities located in Oakland, and Robotics Row in Lawrenceville and the Strip District. It is also in the middle of a large residential community, with access to parks, restaurants, and other amenities.
RIDC O’Hara is currently home to thousands of jobs and a hub for life science companies including Kalivir Immunotherapeutics, Thar Pharmaceuticals, Zoll Medical Corporation, Skinject, Cook MyoSite, DxTx Medical, Neurolign, and CORE (The Center for Organ Recovery & Education).
