YKK AP Technologies Lab (NA) Inc. Leases Space at RIDC Mill 19
Pittsburgh, PA—January 9, 2023—Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern Pennsylvania (RIDC) announced that YKK AP Technologies Lab (NA) Inc. has signed a five-year lease for 7,576 square feet of space on the 3rd floor of RIDC Mill 19 Building A, near the space already occupied by Catalyst Connection.
Move-in is expected in Summer 2023, after several tenant improvements to the space are completed.
As the problems of workforce shortages and aging installation technicians become more severe in the design and development fields, YKK AP Technologies Lab (NA) Inc. will be engaged in research and development of digitization technologies that enable production and installation activities to be simulated in a “virtual factory.” Its work will allow for the creation of engineering and supply chains in a virtual space, aiming to create a “digital twin.”

RIDC Mill 19, which also is home to autonomous vehicle company Motional, is an innovation hub ripe with opportunity, particularly as we near completion of our third building – Building C – at the site.”
