“Seegrid Corp., the Pittsburgh-based developer of self-driving industrial vehicles for material handling, on Tuesday announced that it’s raised $25 million from a Silicon Valley venture capital firm.
G2VP’s growth equity investment will enable Seegrid to more quickly meet demand and accelerate new product introductions that had previously been scheduled for 2021 and 2022, as well as to support growth and hiring plans, according to CEO Jim Rock.
“We have more than 200 employees now, and plan to add at least 100 more across the organization, mostly in product development roles,” said Rock who has led Seegrid since fall 2014.”
