RIDC recently sold two parcels in its Thorn Hill Industrial Park both to companies looking to expand in the region. Between the two projects, over 200 jobs will be added in the park. The industrial park is now nearing 100% full with only a few parcels left to be developed.
Burns Industrial Equipment, a forklift and equipment dealership based in Pittsburgh, purchased a 7.8-acre parcel on Thorn Hill Road to build an industrial equipment supply facility which will employ approximately 30 people.
Paragon Foods, a fresh foods distributor currently located in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh, closed on a 13-acre parcel on Thorn Hill Road that will allow them to expand their operation. They will construct a new facility that will eventually employ 175 people.
