EXPANDING TENANT AEROTECH SIGNS LEASE FOR 20,000 SQUARE FEET IN RIDC INDUSTRIAL PARK IN O’HARA

PITTSBURGH, PA – September 24, 2018 – The Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern Pennsylvania (RIDC) announced that it has signed a 5-year lease with Aerotech for the entirety of Alpha Manor II, a 20,000 square foot building in the RIDC Industrial Park in O’Hara. Aerotech both owns and leases other space within the park.

Aerotech designs and manufactures the highest performance motion control, positioning tables/stages, and positioning systems for our customers in industry, government, science, and research institutions around the world. They will employ approximately 50-60 people at this location for research and development; adding to the 380 people they currently employ at their headquarters.

“O’Hara township has been our corporate headquarters since 1974, so this additional space is needed to support strong growth in our business. We like that the site is close to our existing headquarters,” said Stephen Botos, Vice President of Marketing and Business Strategy at Aerotech. “In addition to our long history here, the park is close to neighborhoods where many of our employees live and to route 28, which makes access to the park convenient and efficient. Also, the park itself offers a clean and safe surrounding environment and good corporate neighbors.”

“Aerotech provides important products and services to industries that are leading our regional economy.  Its growing presence in our O’Hara industrial park has helped make the property a success and is illustrative of the value of its well-situated location,” said Donald Smith, President of RIDC.
