Exciting new developments in O’Hara

January 12, 2015

RIDC Industrial Park in O’Hara Township, first developed 50 years ago, was RIDC’s first business park.  Because of park covenants that raised the standards for construction and maintenance and after several recent developments, the park continues to be an appealing location for growing companies in our region.

This past quarter saw new activity in RIDC Industrial Park.  Two tenants in the “Townhouses for Industry” building are expanding: NeuroKinetics, who recently received a grant from the NFL to develop its concussion diagnostics, and Syngery Media, an audiovisual technology provider.

In the building next door, RIDC signed new tenant Ottomatika, who is Carnegie Mellon University spin-out focused on automated vehicles. The company recently announced a partnership with Delphi Automotive.

RIDC has also been designing facade renovations to the Townhouses building. Work will start as soon as the weather gets warmer.

The RIDC Business Alliance, a consortium of business owners in the park, recently gained support from the Township for them to install a walking trail around the park.  As an amenity for healthy lifestyles as well as a safety measure for those walking from a bus stop, the walking trail will greatly add to the business park.

We look forward to the next 50 years at RIDC Industrial Park.
