Donald F. Smith, Jr., RIDC President, which is working to redevelop major sites throughout the region, expects the site fund and the changes to come to help to speed up permitting will prove potent together.

“I think it’s a really important combination, either of which would be important progress but together they’re much more significant,” said Don Smith. “We need to be able to deliver these sites quickly to compete with other regions and states that have sites ready to go.”
